Camper Clinic II: “The more you know about RVs, the better we look”
Located in the heart of Winter Texan Country, this recreational vehicle sales and service business was started in 1983 by a young man who had the foresight to see the need for an RV repair service in Rockport, Texas. Tom Welsh started Camper Clinic with one mobile van, and as his business grew, he moved into a small, permanent building. He established a successful business in repair, servicing and sales of new, used, and consignment RV’s. In April of 1995, Ron Carothers joined Mr. Welsh, and Camper Clinic Inc, was formed and in October of 2000 a major expansion project began. Camper Clinic acquired the assets of 1st RV, in Buda Texas. The acquisition provided Camper Clinic with locations in Rockport & Buda. The Buda location has undergone 3 expansion phases and is located 15 miles south of Austin on the east side of interstate highway 35 across from the popular outfitter Cabela's. It has become the ultimate Austin RV location. This area has been declared "The Outdoor Capitol of Texas" by Governor Rick Perry. Buda offers full service, parts and accessories and is a Top 10 Airstream Parts & Certified Center. Future plans include moving into a new facility. The new facility will provide a large Parts and Service area with the most up-to-date equipment available. You can shop for all types of towable RV’s with over 10 million dollars worth of inventory to choose from. The Rockport location has the largest parts store in South Texas, 60,000 square feet, over eight acres of new and used inventory, and a 12 bay service area. Camper Clinic currently has nearly 50 full-time employees, including Factory Certified Technicians, Service & Warranty Writers, Parts Specialists, Sales Staff, and Support Services. All personnel are required to attend regular training seminars to stay current on the latest technology on all equipment and techniques. “We at Camper Clinic II pride ourselves on giving courteous, accurate, and prompt service to all our customers.
